Plugs are tissue cultured or cuttings or seed grown plants in a 72-cell pack 10-1/2" by 21". Plants for sale are ready for transfer to a 3" to 4" pot for retail if you're selling small plants or you finish or grow it further to maturity if you're selling larger or flowering plants. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Grower demand for tissue culture grass plugs is forcing our diversity to increase every year. Our plugs finish containers faster than divisions and are very full. We have created a lineup of grasses that accomodate all markets and zones.

Cortadelia Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila' is a dwarf pampas grass that is an excellent landscape plant with huge feathery white plumes. A very good grower that is cold hardy to zone 6. The beautiful plumes work well in dried arrangements. Drought-tolerant and suitable for xeriscaping. Virus tested and produced directly from tissue culture. Plug full Sun       6
Eragrostis elliotii (Love Grass)
native to woodlands, sandy areas and prairies in the southeast U.S.  It is a fine-textured, warm season, vigorous growing grass to 3’ tall and is known for its blue-green foliage and fluffy white flowers.  Eragrostis elliotii has a long bloom season starting in early May lasting until October.

Hakonechloa macra 'All Gold' (Japanese Forest Grass)
Japanese Forest Grass or Hakone Grass makes a bright statement as a graceful, colorful groundcover for shady areas. 'All Gold' sword-shaped, golden to chartreuse leaves form graceful clumps and have the appearance of miniature bamboo. 'All Gold' reaches 20 inches high and makes impressive clumps given time.

Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio' Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio' (Dwarf Maiden Grass'
Spectacular, low maintenance dwarf ornamental grass with silvery-green foliage becoming orange, gold and burgundy in fall. It blooms in late summer through winter with bronzy-pink fading and white plumes. It grows fast with narrow and upright habit reaching average landscape size up 3 ft tall (foliage) and 5 ft. tall (flower), 3 ft. wide. Perfect for containers, mass planting and mixed perennial arrangements. It is deer resistant and salt tolerant.

Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus' Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus'
It is “The Gold Standard” of green Miscanthus. Attractive, salt tolerant and deer resistant evergreen grass with fine-textured silver-green blades that turn golden bronze after first frost. Great specimen for shrub or perennial beds also used in groups as a screen, borders and seacoast exposures. Great container grass. Blooms in late summer with white flowers.

Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light' Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light'
Deer resistant, salt tolerant, easy care ornamental grass with green blades and highlights of creamy-white margins creating a silvery appearance. Grows in partial to full sun, in clumps up to 5 ft. tall and 2 ft. wide. Good for container production. Blooms in late summer with red showy flower it can reach 6 ft. tall. Also used for cut flowers. Commonly used as accent grass, screens and borders.

Miscanthus sinensis 'Nova' Miscanthus sinensis 'Nova'
 a beautiful selection of 'Zebrinus' is easily recognized by its yellow horizontal bands and columnar habit.  ‘Nova’ is slightly more compact than other 'Zebrinus'cultivars forming upright clumps 4-5' tall with flower plumes adding an additional 1 to 2 feet in late summer.  Foliage will brown after first frost but flower plumes persist well into winter providing good winter interest.  'Nova' is a versatile ornamental grass and a good accent or specimen plant. Also, effective in groups, massed or as a screen.

Muhlenberghia capillaris

This funky native commonly called Pink Muhly Grass is a natural wonder.  As the summer season wanes, the pink Muhly starts its show with giant puff-balls of cotton-candy pink inflorescences.  In mass plantings or as a standalone specimen it’s hard to drive by and not take your eyes off the road. 

Muhlenbergia is impervious to pests and disease making this North American native a must-have in the low-maintenance garden.  Given plenty of sunshine and good soil drainage, Muhly’s easily withstanding heat, humidity, drought, and poor soils.

Nolina Nelsonii Nolina nelsonii - Nelson's Blue Bear Grass. Looks like an arborescent yucca but with finer blue foliage. Produces a 4 foot tall pinnicle of cream colored flowers. pl;ug Full sun, well-draining soil and requires little water. (20 to 24 weeks). 1 gallon Tree-like succulent. Grows to 20 feet tall or more, 8 feet in diameter. Slowly develops multiple heads. Zone 7-9

Evergreen grass-like clumps or mounds with rich dark green 1/8 inch leaf blades. Light lilac to white flowers in summer, bright blue glove-shaped berries in fall

Pennisetum setaceum Rubrum'
Purple fountain grass is a popular, fast growing, clumping ornamental grass.  Under high light conditions, it has purple upright foliage with gracefully arching purple plumes summer thru fall. ‘Rubrum’ is especially dramatic when planted in the landscape in clusters or as mass plantings and also makes a versatile container plant either planted alone or in combination with other plants.  Its plumes are a favorite for fresh or dried arrangements

A beautiful ornamental grass from the breeding program of Dr. Wayne Hannah at the University of Georgia, ‘Princess Molly’ forms a cascading mound of multicolor foliage. Under full sun conditions, the burgundy color is dominant with noticeable light green centers. Narrow, flat powder blue foliage clumps to 2 feet wide and 3' tall. Cooler nights bring out russet-red stems. Plumes rise to 3' in late summer

Sisyrinchium 'Blue Note' Sisyrinchium 'Blue Note'tm (Blue-Eyed Grass)
A native of the southeast United States, 'Blue Note' is our selection of Sisyrinchium angustifoliumnoted for its generous quantity of violet-blue flowers and dark green grass-like foliage. It is a clump-forming, evergreen perennial Iris typically growing 6 to 12" tall. An abundance of eye-catching violet-blue flowers (to 1/2" across) appear in late spring to early summer. 

'Blue Note' is a well tested selection of blue-eyed grass that is more compact than other named varieties.  An excellent plant for garden borders, mixed plantings or rock gardens. Best grown with medium moisture and well-drained soils but does tolerate dry conditions. For best flowering grow in full sun to light shade.

Sisyrinchium 'Lucerne'

Sisyrinchium 'Lucerne' (Blue-Eyed Grass)
'Lucerene', a clump-forming perennial growing to 12" tall with distinct blue-green Iris like foliage that stands out in a garden setting. It is noted for its profuse blooms of one inch diameter, star-like purple-blue flowers with yellow centers starting late April to early summer.

'Lucerene' is an excellent plant for garden borders, mixed plantings or rock gardens. Best grown with medium moisture and well-drained soils but does tolerate dry conditions. For best flowering grow in full sun to light shade.
